Windproof Balaclava

Designed to offer protection in cool outdoor environments and situations with strong or moderate winds, this Windproof balaclava incorporates a Gore® Windstopper membrane that blocks the passage of wind. In addition to repelling water, it prevents skin contact and reduces the impact of the cold on wearers.

Providing full head and neck protection in one single, seamless piece, the recycled polyester fabric is soft and pleasant to the touch making it very comfortable to wear. Totally waterproof and breathable, good moisture management prevents sweat from concentrating and creating a sense of cold or reduction in body temperture.

Product certified as Personal Protective Equipment against minimum risks from the cold in accordance with EU Regulation 2016/425. Products labelled with this symbol have been tested for protection against minimum risks arising from the cold in cool environments, characterized by the possible combination of wind and humidity at a temperature of between -5ºC and 10ºC inclusive, in accordance with the following test standards: EN ISO 13688:2013 Protective clothing — General requirements; and fabric in accordance with Standards EN ISO 11092:2014 (Rct), EN ISO 9237:1995 (AP- Air Permeability) and EN ISO 13938-2:1999 (bursting properties of fabric). A + symbol next to the COOL ENVIRONMENTS icon shows a higher grade of protection against cold in cool environments compared to other product families with the same referred protection.

This combination of protection and breathability minimizes the wind’s chilling effect while reducing the risk of overheating when you are active.
