FR Balaclava made with fire resistant and antistatic lightweight modacrylic fiber.

It offers full FR head and neck protection in one single piece and can also be worn under a safety helmet.

It has been designed to absorb moisture quickly and effectively, making it ideal for medium and high intensity activities.

ANTISTATIC

Certified product that incorporates protective fabric with electrostatic properties to prevent the accumulation of electrostatic charges that eventually can generate sparks. A spark is capable of causing a fire or explosion under certain circumstances.

COMFORT FIT FACE OPENING

Elastic face opening on balaclava that delivers a comfortable fit in different wearing positions.

FIRE RESISTANT

Fire Resistant Fabric tested and certified to offer protection against heat and flames.

Helmet compatible

Can be worn under a helmet.

ULTRALIGHT / LIGHTWEIGHT

Low weight product, designed to be extremely light to wear and carry.

Moisture Management

Fabric structure that transfers sweat and vapor away from the body through the fabric. Provides comfort and helps keeping body temperature stable.

QUICK-DRY

Fabric with high wicking properties, evaporates moisture faster.

69% Modacrylic, 28% FR Viscose, 3% Antistatic Fiber.

PPE CERTIFICATIONS

Product certified as Personal Protective Equipment against heat and/or flame exposure in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/425, with EU Type Examination certification in accordance with Standards EN ISO 13688:2013 Protective Clothing - General Requirements; and EN ISO 11612:2015 against thermal flammability (A), convective heat (B), radiant heat (C) and contact heat (F) risks with the performance level specified for each product.

Product certified as Personal Protective Equipment against the risk of electrostatic charge accumulation for the prevention of incendiary discharges in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/425, having obtained EU Type Examination certification in accordance with Standards EN ISO 13688:2013 Protective Clothing - General Requirements; EN 1149-5:2008 or EN1149-5:2018 Electrostatic dissipative protective clothing.

VISIBILITY

Product with protection proper-ties against risks caused by low visibility. The enhanced visibility performance features have been tested on the fabric in accordance with the following test standards: chromaticity coordinate, CIE 15; colour fastness of fluorescent material, contrasts and combination, ISO 105-X12 (colour fastness to rubbing), ISO 105-E04 (colour fastness to perspiration), ISO 105-C06 (colour fastness to domestic laundering); photometric performance of retroreflective and combined materials (CIE 54.2). *Only applies to the Yellow Fluor design.

LIGHTWEIGHT FR BALACLAVA

Modacrylic fibers are commonly used to create technical fabrics with good quick drying properties that will be used to develop flame retardant PPE. Due to its specific weight, they keep protective gear from being uncomfortably heavy. This is especially important in a wide range of demanding jobs and working situations, where high body temperatures can be easily achieved.
