DUPONT™ NOMEX®

NOMEX® is a meta-aramid fibre invented and manufactured by DuPont™. Nomex® has flame-retardant properties, is resistant to high temperatures and will not melt, drip, or combust in air. This high level of protection is engineered into the fibre’s molecular structure, it’s not chemical, which means the heat and flame resistance of NOMEX® is inherent and permanent and will last the life of the garment. As well as resisting extreme temperatures, thanks to its advanced thermo-technology, garments made with NOMEX® offer optimum comfort and durability.

DUPONT™ NOMEX® NANO FLEX®

Nomex® Nano Flex® was developed to help make products like firefighter hoods more protective against particles without compromising comfort. A highly breathable FR material with exceptional elasticity and superior particle barrier performance, Nomex® Nano Flex® is also thinner and lighter weight than other FR materials. The addition of Nomex® Nano Flex® to a firefighter hood composite structure provides improved particle barrier protection in the neckline and upper jaw area that historically are known to be the most vulnerable and least protected. In fact, it results in up to a 4X increase in particle barrier efficiency (up to 99%).

GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ WINDSTOPPER®

Products made with GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ WINDSTOPPER® are totally windproof and deliver maximum breathability to keep you comfortable in cool and windy weather conditions. The totally windproof, yet extremely breathable membrane blocks the wind and allows vapor to escape. This combination of protection and breathability minimizes the wind’s chilling effect while reducing the risk of overheating when you are active. A durable outer fabric treatment provides you additional protection of water repellency.

PRIMALOFT® BIO™

PrimaLoft® Bio™ brings a new approach to sustainability without compromising its industry-leading performance and comfort throughout the life cycle of the garment, drastically reducing the amount of micro plastics in our landfills and oceans. This is possible because the fabrics have been optimized to be more appetizing to the naturally-occurring microbes in the specific environments. These microbes allow synthetic insulation and fabric to return to natural elements: water, CO2, methane, biomass and humus – a common, natural component of potting soil.

DYNEEMA®

It is a highly advanced fiber based on a polythylene with an ultra-high molecular weight, making it 15 times stronger than steel. In addition, producte made with Dyneema® Diamond Technology benefit from a single yarn solution that is much thinner than conventional fibers – innovated to deliver similar cut protection performance, without glass, basalt or steel fiber reinforcements. The result is a product that feel like a second skin, yet still deliver a high level of cut protection. 

HEIQ SMART TEMP

Is a revolutionary textile technology that provides fabrics with the ability to interact with body temperature and dynamically respond to body heat. The cooling function is activated when the worker is hot and sweaty and deactivated once cooling is complete. It helps to ensure optimal comfort and performance. It is specifically designed for next-to-skin textiles, bringing a new level of thermal comfort.

REPREVE®

Is the leading, most trusted, branded performance fiber made from recycled materials (including plastic bottles). Fabric made from post-consumer plastic bottles. Bottles are retrieved after use, cleaned and broken into small chips. These chips are processed further and converted into fibres which are then woven into technical fabrics.

CARVICO

A brushed knit fabric is an extremely soft and comfortable techno-fabric, especially pleasant when worn in direct contact with the skin. The soft brushing process they undergo enhance their thermal insulation properties, creating a sort of protective cushion. This kind of fabrics control humidity, ensure breathability and keep the body temperature steady to achieve great performance.

POLYGIENE®

Sweat, heat, and humidity are nourishment for bacteria and they will grow and die in ever-increasing numbers. Absorbing, hiding, or delaying will fail at some point. This treatment simply makes it impossible for them to multiply. The result – it stops the odor at the source to make your items stay fresh, and it works for the lifetime of the garment. The Polygiene BioStatic technology is also active in saving water, energy, and garments due to less need for washing.

Nowadays it continues making advancements in reflective material innovations and playing a longstanding role in on-the-job safety. 3M products are proven to be bright, durable and high quality.
