BUFF®-MEGAMO TEAM READY TO TAKE ON 2024 SEASON

The BUFF®-MEGAMO team are united by a bold but simple mission – to be the best – but their purpose transcends just podiums. They’re here for the experience; the blood, sweat and tears that shapes us as athletes, the highs and lows that connect us with one another, and the suffering and euphoria that can only be found on the world’s toughest trails! 

The BUFF®-MEGAMO XCM team is made up of 7 elite athletes from 5 different countries and represents some of the most impressive talent in both women’s and men’s cycling. Get to know them a bit better… 

BUFF®-MEGAMO welcomes 27-year-old Belgian Wout to the team for 2024. Following an incredible 2023 season during which Wout won both the European Championship and Belgium Championship respectively, bagged a stage win at the Cape Epic and a 2nd position overall in the Swiss Epic, it’s easy to see that Wout is one of the most talented XCM riders in the world.   @woutalleman 

Continuing as an integral part of the team for a second year, Janina is an exceptional athlete who not only performs, but enjoys every moment on the bike. Having claimed 2nd position in the 2022 European Championships, Janina went on to win a number of high-profile races including the Andorra Epic, Volcat, Leyenda Tartessos and a 2nd place Mediterranean Epic. Last year Janina decided to focus primarily on XCM, and her presence in the BUFF-MEGAMO® lineup cements our status as a world-class team in the women’s Marathon.    @janina.wuest 

At just 23 years old, Dutch athlete Rosa has a bright future ahead of her and is the BUFF®-MEGAMO ticket to growth and progress! 2023 saw Rosa claim runner-up at XCM, Dutch champion in the U23’s XCO 2023 and second place at the Costa Blanca Bike Race. Fully committed to the MTB modality and focused on marathon cycling, 2024 is Rosa’s year to evolve and learn as part of the BUFF®-MEGAMO team, and to take another step forward in her already exceptional career.    @rosa_vandoorn 

This 33-year-old native of Ibiza is a veteran of the team, with eight seasons with BUFF®️-MEGAMO already under his belt. Enrique has reached some milestones recently, including a 2nd position in Andalucía Bike 2023 and winning overall in the Titan Desert Arabia race. Last year also saw him start to perform well in gravel, where we are confident we will see him more often in the coming years. Another multi-skilled member of the team, Enrique is passionate not only about cycling, but also about sailing.    @morcillo_e 

It’s hard for Dutch biker Hans to top his spectacular seasons of previous years – but we think he can! With numerous victories and podiums in 2022 and 2023 including stage wins at Cape Epic and 3rd position overall, victories and podiums in Volcat, Andalucía Bike Race, Brazil Ride and the Swiss Epic to his name, and 2024 will see him wear the Dutch national jersey once again. We’re excited to have him on the BUFF®-MEGAMO team for a fourth year.    @hansbecking

Another familiar face of BUFF®-MEGAMO, this will be José’s fourth season on the team. José started his career as he meant to go on, claiming 3rd place in the World Champions at just 21, followed by multiple podiums and 3rd place in the Cape Epic in the years that followed.  Now 29-years-old, he is the current Portuguese National Champion. Together with teammate Hans, he has shown an amazing level of skill and performance and is a well-established and integral cog in the gear!    @jose_dias31 

30-year-old Spanish cyclist Pablo already knows well the feeling of being on the XCO World Championship podium. As an U23, he became Vice World Champion and already has a very solid career foundation in XCO. With previous experience in Cape Epic and Andalucía Bike Race, Pablo is focused on XCM for 2024 and will bring new energy to the BUFF®-MEGAMO team.    @pablorodriguezguede
